The Speed ​​Limit Assistant is a standard feature in Mercedes-Benz vehicles that allows the vehicle to recognize traffic signs and speed limits using a camera and display them on the speedometer. This gives the driver a visual indication of the current speed limit.

A special function in conjunction with the cruise control is the traffic sign symbol on the steering wheel, which is placed next to the rezoom button. When the cruise control is activated and the driver presses the rezoom button twice, the vehicle automatically adjusts the set speed of the cruise control to the detected maximum speed.

This allows the vehicle speed to be automatically adjusted to the applicable speed limits on the road .
